What started as a conversation during Ganeshotsav at a friend's house — a proposal of empowering women through e-rickshaws — became a powerful story of collaboration, trust, and transformation.
They needed someone to execute this dream. I said: "Can find someone."
Months later, with the committed guidance of Rotary Club of Thane Lakecity, the able support of Samarth Bharat Vyaspeeth, and the CSR help from Atos, 15 deserving women — breadwinners in their families — were chosen to receive these e-rickshaws. 💪🚗💗
And the best part -
Among the recipients I met:
✨ Sangita, a former ASHA worker from my very first TMC posting (who was overjoyed to see me and asked to perform the Pooja of the Auto)
✨ Kusum Salve, a ward staff who remembered how I send her during the Mahad floods and was happy for that!!— and now offered her services (which has left me humbled!!!)
✨ Proud transgender women, who stood tall, ready to drive forward with dignity and purpose.
✨ And other females ready to take on the world with this help.
Moments like these remind :
